GTA Online Quick Entry Guide

We’ve gathered what you need to do to enter the GTA Online world in two minutes.

Since its launch, GTA Online has been infuriating users with an opening time of 9 minutes. Finally, a developer tackled this issue recently and identified the source of the problem. Rockstar Games, which developed the game, wrote bad code and therefore excessive processor usage was taking place when opening the game. Rockstar rewarded the developer and corrected the code in the game. Although this process shortens the opening time of the game, more is possible!

Today we will look at how GTA Online opens even faster with Samsung’s SSD 980, but first let’s experience it with a hard disk and see the difference!

First, we install the game on our SATA hard drive. It took almost 3 minutes from the moment we hit the Play button until our character appeared on the screen. Although it is an improvement compared to the past, it is still a long time. So if we try the same process with SSD 980, what will be the difference?

We plug the SSD 980 into our computer and first install Samsung Magician and enter Performance Optimization. Here we are enabling Full Power Mode for SSD 980, that is, full power mode. Thanks to this mode, our SSD will always run at full performance.

Now that everything is ready, let’s run the game! We press the play button and the game starts to open. In the bottom right, you can see that our NVMe SSD responds incredibly quickly to read / write requests of the game with 0.1ms.

And now we manage to get into GTA Online in 2 minutes 19 seconds. With a 40 second win, our game now loads 30% faster.

Rockstar Games Launcher Commands

For even faster access to GTA Online, we open the Rockstar Games Launcher and enter the Settings section.

From here, we open the settings of GTA 5 and come to the Launch Arguments section. We enter the code -StraightIntoFreemode into the box here. Thanks to this code, the game enters GTA Online as soon as it is opened.
