Exynos 2200 Ahead of Snapdragon 895 in Graphics Performance
Exynos 2200, Samsung’s new chip, surpassed the Adreno 730 in Snapdragon 895 with its RDNA2 graphics processor unit in terms of performance.
The performance offered by the Snapdragon 895 was leaked and it was revealed that Apple is approaching the A14 Bionic chip. However, Qualcomm has a more formidable rival nearby: Samsung Exynos 2200. This chipset, developed by the Korean technology giant, can surpass Adreno 730 in Snapdragon 895 under certain conditions.
Samsung did not share information about the power consumption of the RDNA2 GPU in its new chip, and announced that the balance between performance and efficiency would be achieved. According to the Weibo leak shared by FrontTron, it was claimed that the RDNA2 GPU easily surpasses the Adreno 730 in high performance mode. About a few months ago, Samsung was rumored to be testing the AMD GPU on new Exynos chipsets, and the results were quite surprising. This chip, which came out of the partnership between Samsung and AMD, not only surpassed the Snapdragon 888 in today’s high-end phones, but also shook the throne of the A14 Bionic.
The only question mark regarding this leak is that the power consumption details of the Exynos 2200 are not mentioned. Because if the RDNA2 GPU consumes a lot of power when under stress, there is a possibility that there may be a decrease in performance due to the increased temperature level. If this has happened, we can say that the comparisons made are not realistic. Also, rumors that Samsung is targeting the performance of the A14 Bionic have been on the agenda for several months. However, even back then, the company was working hard to reach the high performance threshold without requiring much power.
