Android 13 Operating System Code Name Announced
The Android 13 codename, which was curious by users, appeared in AOSP codes.
Getting ready to distribute the stable version of Android 12 from next month, Google has rolled up its sleeves for the Android 13 operating system. While there is nothing tangible about the new Android version yet, the codename of Android 13 was revealed with the reports published in the hours we left behind.
As you know, Google preferred names such as Oreo, KitKat, and Jelly Bean in previous operating systems. However, the technology giant, which made some changes after the Android 10 operating system, abandoned its sweet naming and named its new operating systems with version numbers such as Android 10, Android 11, and Android 12. Likewise, the operating system, which will be introduced in 2022, is considered to be called Android 13.
However, although Google has abandoned its sweet naming, we observe that the company continues to prefer sweet names in Android codenames, with the information discovered in the AOSP code. In this direction, it is noted that the new Android operating system, which will be introduced next year, will have the code name Tiramisu.
As you may remember, the Android 12 operating system, which was launched last May, was the subject of leak news with the code name Snow Cone. At the same time, the Android 11 operating system was on the agenda with the code name Red Velvet Cake, and the Android 10 operating system with the code name Quince Tart.
